GWENT Police are appealing for information about a burglary at a village pub.

The break-in happened at The Carpenter’s Arms in Shirenewton between Sunday night and Tuesday morning, October 19-21.

A force spokesperson said: “At around 10.30am on Tuesday October 21, we received a report on a burglary at a licensed premises in Usk Road, Shirenewton.

“Officers attended and an unknown person is believed to have forced entry to the building sometime between 11pm on Sunday and 9am on Tuesday.”
