SIR,

Once again I was lucky enough to attend the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford.

With hundreds of aircraft participating, the Royal International Air Tattoo is not only the worlds largest military airshow, but a great day out with something to entertain the whole family.

This year there was a special display to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and a multi-international flypast of aircraft that had been involved in the Battle.

There was a Battle of Britain Village where you could experience the sights and sound of life during the Second World War.

And there were also RAF, Army and Navy displays to experience the military as it is today.

If you wanted a break away from the aircraft, you could go and see the numerous shopping malls, flight simulators and concerts by tribute bands The Upbeat Beatles and The Bohemians.

Going back to the aircraft, there were breathtaking displays from international display teams, fast fighter jets and my personal favourite the F-22 Raptor, which is the worlds first and only operational 5th Generation fighter.

It combines stealth and non-afterburner supersonic cruise capability, which makes it the worlds most advanced and capable fighter aircraft.

Make sure you dont miss out next year.
