SIR, Together with my family we thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Oliver at Haberdasher's School for Girls last week. We agreed wholeheartedly with the comments made by Nelson Whaley in your newspaper last week but were somewhat puzzled as to why he made no mention of the role of the Artful Dodger. We were at the Saturday performance and were bowled over by the outstanding performance of George Vine in the role. In our opinion he stole the show and showed a maturity, not only in his acting but in his sensitivity to the role and his ability, way above any other member of the cast, to throw his voice and be heard clearly by all present. Well done George, an outstanding performance. Pat Matthews and family (Monmouth)
