Described as an "eyesore on the main approach to the town", the condition of the grandstand at the Sports Ground was highlighted at a meeting of Monmouth Town Council's Community Affairs Committee on Monday (4th April).
Councillors heard that some of the corrugated sheets had been pulled off the back and the space under the terraces used as a hiding space. It is thought some homeless people have spent the night there.
Councillor Chris Munslow said it was only a few years ago that money was spent painting and putting light fittings in, but they were soon vandalised.
