Usk’s run of sunny show days - 12 at the last count - came to a brief end on Saturday with a few early showers greeting visitors and exhibitors alike.

Everything went ahead on schedule though and the Grand Parade was blessed with the afternoon sunshine and 2025 saw the return of the popular Jamie Squibb & his Freestyle Motorbike Show.

Champion Dairy for a home-bred cow went to the Morgan family, Overall Beef Champion went to Will Edwards for his Charollais cow and heifer calf, runner up was the Bodily family who also won the commercial cattle championship with their beef Shorthorn heifer.

U10 Champion young handler in cattle went to Oscar Coates, and Lowri Hughes won Champion Young Handler in the pig section.
