Monmouth Town U9's

The Artic condition did not prevent the team from acheiving their highest scoring game of the season so far, with open attacking football the opportunities for the forwards goals came throughout the game. Robbie Atkinson, Greg Powell and Lewis Davies scored with two from Sam Morgan playing his first game for a long while.

Pleasing was the quality of the delivery with one long range effort from Tom Walker hitting the bar, the post then the back of the keeper with Henry Williams to tap in the net.

The only problem was the keeper with so little to do he was frozen!

A real pleasing performance from Mellisa Brooks, who has developed into a strong and skillful player over a short time. This should be encouragement for all boys and girls to play Football at Monmouth Town Juniors .

Monmouth Under 8's

Monmouth U8's played Usk on Chippenham Fields on Sunday in the East Gwent U8's league.Monmouth enjoyed plenty of possession and showed great skill breaking through the Usk defence on many occasions.

Great play from Ben Drinkall and Sean Swann and McBride ensured the Usk defence was kept busy, the goals flowed in the second half. The keepers Rory Calderwood and Josh Bicknell kept out the Usk attack.

The team is beginning to show real strength and depth with a wonderful team spirit of fair play and unity. Well done Monmouth U8's a fine performance.
