A monster Welsh rarebit proved a big success at a county food festival.

A team representing the Hunter's Moon pub at Llangattock Lingoed made the beast for a competition at the Abergavenny Food Festival last month.

The task was monitored and filmed for Sky TV's Good Food Channel. A programme called 'Monster Munchies', presented by World Cup-winning rugby star Matt Dawson, is expected on air sometime in the new year.

The Hunter's Moon team, led by landlord Haydon Jones, were up against the Cider Mill at Nantyffin.
