Madam,
Sylvia Gilbert was quite right in her letter last week to stress the importance of providing access for the disabled at the Shire Hall. It was remiss of me not to mention this in my last letter to you when I outlined some of the uses to which the building might be put.
Niall Phillips, the Consultant employed by the County Council, has found a suitable location for the lift where it is believed it can give access to all floor levels apart from the basement. The next task will be to convince Cadw of the vital necessity of such a lift, for without it we can make little use of the building.
