A huge sum of money has been raised for charity in memory of Will Wright of Millbrook Garden Centre, a much loved Monmouth man who tragically died in a car accident in June. Will was well known for his Scarlet Mark 3 Cortina Crayford and would often be seen sitting by the Old Monnow Bridge on a sunny summer's day. Will has been described by many of his friends as a legend who will be remembered for his kind and generous nature and sense of fun. "He would have been thrilled that so much money has been raised for various charities in his name," said sister, Sarah. Over £3,000 has already been raised for; Hope and Homes for Children £825, plus £200, from book sales; Hope Carriers Trust (a Romanian Orphanage charity) £1,027.50; Looe Lifeboats £410; Cats Protection League Coleford £850 and New Start Cat Rescue £100. The total is nearing £3,500 and the second hand book sale at Millbrook is ongoing. Janet, Geoff, Sarah and Lucy would like to thank everyone who donated: "Will would be really proud to know that so much money has gone to good causes in his memory."
