JACQUI James of Llandogo was among those nominated for an award in the National Fundraiser of the Year Awards, having raised over £2,000 for Llandogo Primary School.
Jacqui has worked hard for the past four years to raise money to improve facilities at the school. Money raised in the past has helped to fund a new adventure playground and reading books. Jacqui has achieved this by organising sponsored events, fun runs, promise auctions and from selling goods through fund-raising catalogues.
Although she did not win one of the top five fundraiser awards, Jacqui had a great time attending the presentation evening, hosted by Liz Dawn, Coronation Street's Vera Duckworth, and held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Saturday.
