CHEPSTOW kept up the summer spirit last weekend (31st July-2nd August) with the fourth visit from the Green Gathering festival. Held at Piercefield Park, the entirely solar and wind-powered event attracted more than 2,000 eco-friendly fans from across the UK to enjoy music, poetry, political speakers and campaign discussions. Organiser Dave Bole said: "The weekend was absolutely fantastic, and our customers had a great time again. "Chepstow is ideal for us with its rail and bus links, so fans can travel here in an eco-friendly way, without driving their cars across-country. "The festival is becoming a growing success and whilst we will look to hold more events around the country, we are keen to keep coming back to Chepstow because this really is the most beautiful festival site in the country."
