Monmouth School Headmaster, Dr Steven Connors, welcomed stage and screen legend Victor Spinetti as guest of honour at the school's annual Speech Day on Saturday.

Mr Spinetti, who was a pupil at Monmouth School in the 1940s, was taking a break from his current tour to visit his old school, which he describes with affection in his autobiography.
