A FLOOD warning issued in Chepstow and the Wye Valley could affect more than 200 homes.

Natural Resources Wales issued two flood warnings for Wednesday (16th November) in Chepstow and near Tintern. A spokesperson from South Wales Fire and Rescue said the flooding was expected to affect up to 151 properties in Chepstow and up to 78 Wye Estuary properties.

The flood warnings, issued on the Natural Resources Wales website, said the next high tide at Newport is expected to reach 7.4 metres at around 8.25pm, with the high tide at Chepstow 25 minutes later.

The high tide at Newport reached a level of 7.45 metres at 8am today.
