FOR a fun day out this weekend, head to Monmouth’s Fire Station on Rockfield Road this Saturday 2nd June between 10am and 4pm.

You will be able to see live demonstrations of rescues close up as the team show how they approach a road traffic collision and demonstrate how they remove the occupant from a vehicle using specialist equipment.

Also on hand will be St John Ambulance and crews from the Seven Area Rescue Association, (SARA), the specialist rescue team on water based in Beachley. For the kids there is a bouncy castle, an ice cream van, barbecue and a chance to meet the Monmouth team and look over the various specialist appliances.
