THE annual Santa fun run took place on Sunday, 3rd December in near perfect conditions.

A staggering and record-breaking 491 Santas took to the streets raising money for this year’s chosen charities, Sense Cymru and the Monmouth and District Foodbank. This is an annual event, organised and marshalled by the runners of the Spirit of Monmouth Running Club.

A special thanks go to Barclays Bank for their matched funding, Monmouth Boys School and School Sports Club, Wyemedia,  The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club, Timpson, Brighter Food, Wild Trail, Cafe2U (Quedgeley), Monmouthshire

County Council, and all of the Spirit of Monmouth RC members who turned out to ensure a festive and safe fun run for all.

Race organisers hope to have raised in excess of £2,000 but the final figure will be known next week.
