Hundreds flocked to Chepstow's Christmas farmers' market on Saturday (7th December) at the Palmer Centre.

The market offered a range of local produce and even Father Christmas was there to join in the fun.

Father Christmas saw plenty of children in his grotto and each child received a small gift on behalf of the farmer's market.

He then dropped into the Palmer Centre where he surprised local residents who were enjoying a quiet cup of tea. He also stopped off to see members of the Round Table who were busy making up food parcels.

Worried that he might have missed anyone, Father Christmas then went for a walk up and down the High Street, giving out small gifts and noting down all the Christmas wishes of the children he met.

Father Christmas was accompanied by Chepstow Town Mayor, Councillor Stephanie Dovey who was on hand to make sure he found his way about the town, as well as reindeer helper, town clerk Sandra Bushell.
