A CHEQUE of £500 was presented to Welsh Women’s Aid after Monmouth Women’s Festival raised money for the charity.

Monmouth Women’s Festival is held annually to mark International Women’s Day on 8th March. The purpose of the day is to celebrate the achievements of women locally and internationally and to continue the campaign for gender parity.

Festival secretary Sandra Harvey presented the cheque to Victoria Samuel, fundraising manager at Welsh Women’s Aid on Monday (16th July).
