A Monmouth teenager is celebrating passing his driving test without making a single fault.
Learner drivers taking the test are allowed to make up to 15 faults before they are failed but Tommy Wellington, of Wyesham, needed no such allowance.
The 18-year-old, who passed his final college exam with distinction on the same day, said he was "astonished" to have passed with no faults, adding that it had been a "pretty good day".
Instructor Georgina Heggerty said she was "well chuffed" for Tommy.
"He probably had about six months worth of lessons, and he did some driving with his mum and dad, which helps," she said.
It is the first time in Georgina's five years as a driving instructor that one of her students has passed with no faults.
"On the day, all my work is done and it's all down to the student and they all tighten up a bit," she added.
