WYEVALE Garden Centre, Raglan welcomed a very special guest judge to its Christmas Bake Off challenge last Saturday (5th December).
Bakers arrived at the garden centre to compete for the title of Monmouthshire’s Best Christmas Cake. Entrants produced their signature recipes and took them along for judging.
Skilled baker, six-year-old Chloe Mills, won the star prize of a £100 gift voucher to spend at the centre which was awarded by manager Lorraine Walters.
Lorraine Walters, centre manager at Raglan’s Wyevale Garden Centre said: “We were impressed by the number of entrants and variety in presentation skills. All the cakes were delicious and to a high standard but Chloe’s cake stood out and we were thrilled to award her with the prize.”
The garden centre is currently inviting all parents and their children to show off their creative skills by entering its children’s tinsel dress up competition this Saturday (12th December) at 10am.
The garden centre is challenging children to enter the competition and create a festive outfit made from tinsel on the day.
The event will be judged by members of the Raglan Garden Centre team who will give the most creative outfit, a £100 gift voucher to spend at the centre. There will be one winner and entry is free.
