SIR, I agree with Mr Butcher's opinion about Monouth needing a senior football team or even two, as mentioned in his letter in last week's Beacon. My point is the Kingfishers should question why they are able to play at Abergavenny Thursdays' ground. This was a top Welsh league side a few years ago, and now no longer hold that position. Kingfishers chairman Lee Robson should look towards Chepstow Town, Caldicot Town and particlalry Barry Town, who chose to take the same route as the Kingfishers by paying a manager and players. Barry Town flew high in Europe and now play in a lower league than the Kingfishers. I could understand a little bit more if the Kingfishers were going to Abergavenny promoted to the top tier of the Welsh league, but this is not the case. P Bezoni (Monmouth)
