THE growing controversy about the effects of modern farming methods on wildlife will be addressed at tonight's (Thursday's) meeting of Monmouth Field and Historic Society.
Mr Nick Thomas, RSPB conservation officer and the author of the organisation's book on birds and farming, will be discussing the subject when he addresses the Society at the Museum in Priory Street at 7 pm.
Members are reminded that the meeting is unusually being held on Thursday and not the usual Friday date. Visitors are welcome to attend tonight's talk for a fee of £1.
