The Air ambulance was called out last Sunday evening (15th May) to an incident on a north Monmouthshire farm.

Ben Williams, 48, who runs a beef unit near Skenfrith, was attacked by one of the bulls he was weighing for market.

Emergency vehicles attended the scene and the farmer was taken via air ambulance to Cardiff with suspected broken ribs

"I was incredibly impressed by the speed with which the emergency vehicles got here," said Phyllis Williams, Ben's mum.

"We are grateful to the help offered and given by neighbours as the stock obviously still have to be fed."

Sue Williams, his wife, was also impressed with the speed and the efficiency of the ambulance services.

"He is due to have some more x-rays today [Tuesday]," she added.

It is understood that he has seven broken ribs and is suffering from bruising.
