CHEPSTOW'S Drill Hall has been granted additional funds from the town council because of a shortfall in funding to desirable works.
The Drill Hall originally budgeted £21,600 for a number of changes and upgrades to the infrastructure.
The original agreed plan was for Chepstow Town Council to foot half of the bill, up to a value of £10,800.
However, the cost of works has risen to £35,200 and an application was made to the council for further funds.
The town council has agreed to provide more money, an additional £6,800, taking the total up to £17,600. The release of funds has only been agreed because the improvements to the Drill Hall will generate income.
