Everything you need to know about the A40 overnight road closure in Gloucestershire

A MAJOR road in Gloucestershire will close in both directions overnight, forcing drivers to find alternative routes.

The A40 will temporarily close on Monday, October 19 from 8pm to 6am on Tuesday, October 20 morning, between Over roundabout and Highnam roundabout.

From Tuesday, October 20 traffic will move onto the refurbished eastbound carriageway of the bridge.

Anyone travelling on the times impacted should follow the signed diversion routes.

The overnight closure was rescheduled as further repairs were identified each month. However, National Highways said the final completion date is still on track to be met.
