WYE Valley Music’s next concert on Sunday, October 12, in St Briavels Church will feature Italian pianist Sofia Sacco.

Praised for “her intelligence and sensitive artistry”, Sofia won first prize at the Bach International Piano competition.

In 2019, she moved to the UK and after completing her Master of Arts and Professional Diploma, has been appointed Hodgson Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music.

Her future engagements include recitals at both St Martin in the Fields and Wigmore Hall.

Sofia’s will play works by English and European baroque masters including: J S Bach, Purcell, Couperin, Rameau and Lully.
