On a sweltering June evening last week, local folk band ‘Celtic Collectors’ entertained a sell-out audience at the French Twinning Association fund raising event held at Treowen, Wonastow, a beautiful Grade 1 listed Jacobean Manor House.
Marilyn Jones, Chair of the French Twinning Association said “the Celtic Collectors were terrific! A collection was also taken on the night in aid of Parkinson’s Charity raising £217 helping the ‘Collectors’ smash through the £30,000 total they have raised for local charities (including Reach-Out Monmouth, and the Mayors Flood Relief effort) since their formation 3 years ago.
You can hear the Celtic Collectors and other great local bands, at the forthcoming Monmouth pop-up music festival ‘Monstock’ held on Saturday 25th July. ‘
