MONMOUTH School swimming pool would have felt a lot longer than 25 meters for Anthony Waddington as he took to the pool to swim the equivalent of the English Channel for charity.
Anthony has so far raised £1,321 for charity Aspire, which provides help to people who have been paralysed by spinal cord injuries.
It took Anthony more than 12 hours to swim 1,408 lengths of Monmouth School swimming pool, equivalent to the 22 miles of the English Channel.
Anthony, from Hereford, undertook the the challenge on 16th December.
He chose to raise money for Aspire after his mother broker her neck in a fall at the beginning of 2016.
The national charity helps those that have been paralysed by spinal cord injury lead independent lives.
As a frequent competitor in both triathlons and Ironman competitions the challenge of swimming the length of the English Channel was one that lent itself to Anthony.
So far Anthony has been able to raise £1,321 for Aspire.
