The competitors at the Bunbury Cricket Festival were delighted when the England coach, Andy Flower, arrived unexpectedly to take a question and answer session hot on the heels of England securing a dramatic victory against India at Lord's the previous day.
Flower was keen to meet the next generation of England players and to offer helpful insight and support as the boys take their first steps towards selection and playing first class cricket.
He acknowledged that eight of his current English side were past Bunburians and that over 180 professional cricketers had also represented their regions at Bunbury.
He thanked David English for his huge fundraising efforts and unwavering support for English cricket over the past 25 years.
