A disappointing last week of the season due to a mix of very cold, rain and windy conditions which occurred on several days.

However, most of the fish that were caught were taken mainly by the boat anglers. Fish were feeding just below the surface and the majority of the fish that were caught taken on floating lines.

A few anglers had to resort to sinking lines with "boobies to register catches. Anglers that did catch included Stuart Smith five fish-9lb 10oz, Peter Dent two fish-4lb, John Hole two fish-5lb 2oz, Robert Hole one fish-2lb 6oz, Mike Roberts four fish-8lb 14oz, D.Ellis three fish-6lb 2oz and visitors L.Holvey five fish-10lb 4oz, M.Capper two fish-4lb, and M.Wall one fish-2lb 1oz.

Top flies included Montana's, cat's whisker and black buzzers. Hot spots remain around the tump and east bank.

The association express their thanks to all anglers who made a significant contribution to a reasonable successful season, despite the dreadful weather conditions that occurred during the summer months.
