A DEMENTIA ward at Chepstow Community Hospital has been nominated by the community of south Monmouthshire for the ASDA green token community initiative.
The Asda initiative involves the community supporting a charity or organisation that they feel would benefit from a cash donation, kindly supported by the Caldicot store.
Janine Davies, Senior Nurse with Older Adult Mental Health Services in Monmouthshire, received a telephone call from Asda to inform her that the St-Pierre dementia ward had won first prize.
Janine said: “I was thrilled that the community of south Monmouthshire had nominated and supported our ward through the green token community initiative. “The extremely kind donation of £200 provided by Asda will be used to revamp the balcony area on the St-Pierre ward to benefit our patients and relatives”.
