Rockfield Rovers were off to a mighty start against New Inn last Saturday (2nd April) when Dan Macdonald, just 15 seconds into the game, lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box, ran past and just tapped it into the goal.

A penalty kick was awarded to Rockfield five minutes into the match when the keeper took out Paul Perella, giving Dan (pictured right) another mark on Rovers' score sheet.

As they did in the first half, Rockfield nearly scored straight from kick off, a good save by New Inn's keeper keeping out a Mark Blake header.

After 15 minutes, New Inn started to get back into the game with a few long shots, which keeper Neal Williams dealt with comfortably.

New Inn started to push men further up the pitch, had it not been for a very resilient Rockfield defence of Mathew Williams, Nick Brown, Shane Dorrington and Danny Bowen, New Inn would have got a couple of goals themselves.
