cycling brothers Sam and Joe Anstice, from Coleford, are celebrating a successful few weeks.
Joe has been concentrating on the National Youth Track Omnium series, and has now qualified for the Omnium finals at the Manchester Velodrome in August.
On Saturday 12th June he finished eighth in the final event of the series at Halesowen.
Then on the following Sunday, after starting out at 5.30am for the long journey to Thorney Island, near Portsmouth, he finished in first place in the youth road race.
Sam, whose racing has been restricted due to taking his AS level exams, also competed at Thorney Island and, riding in the third category mens event, finished in tenth position.
He also achieved 11th and 15th place finishes in recent races in the Castle Combe series.
