LOCAL DUO Jason Worgan and Tom Marrott made the short journey to the MOD base at Caerwent for the Fast Impressions Tour of Caerwent. Although an altercation with a wall on stage three and a misfire on the next test slowed their progress slightly, they soon started to climb the ranking.
A superb run on the final two stages saw them climb from sixth in class up to fourth, and 17th overall. "It was a cracking day, and Jason drove very well", said Marrott. But the contest wasn't without its dramas. A high-speed spin on the final test so nearly undid all their good work in their Subaru Impreza.
Leigh Woodington teamed up with Dave Allmark in his Escort RS, but despite some fuel surge problems they finished an excellent sixth overall, and second in class.
