Monmouth Town Council is considering whether to take over the running of the public toilets in Agincourt Street.

They are due to be closed by the end of March and the council have been offered the site at a peppercorn rent to continue the service.

Councillor Bob Hayward told last week's town council meeting that it would be a serious committment to make and welcomed the chance of co-operation with the Beacon to determine the usefulness of the facility.

To help the council make a more informed decision, please register your vote in this week's web poll.

If you would prefer to express your views more clearly, you can write a short note indicating your support and either hand it in to the town clerk's office, or the Beacon office, and we will pass them on to the town council.
