SIR,
As an adoptive mum I feel passionately about adoption and I want to help more children in care to find a family.
That's why I signed up as an adoption champion for the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF).
Could you be an adoption champion too?
Following the success of BAAF's Adoption Champion Scheme for National Adoption Week 2010, the association is looking for more adoption-experienced people to join its already fantastic team of volunteers for this year's campaign.
BAAF needs both adoptive parents and adopted people to spread the word about adoption.
It could be something as simple as putting up a poster, giving a talk at a coffee morning or sharing your story through the media.
Hearing your personal experience could inspire someone to take that first step to giving a vulnerable child a loving, secure, permanent family, which every child deserves.
Anyone over 18 with experience of adoption can sign up to the scheme, with most activities taking place during National Adoption Week (31st October to 6th November 2011).
