POLICE were called to the scene of an accident at 8am this morning (Thursday 20th June) on Rockfield Road, Monmouth.

The road was subsequently closed for approximately two hours.

It is thought that there was a head on collision involving two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla with a female driver and three passengers, and a Citreon DS3 with a female driver who sustained minor injuries.

Both parties were taken to Nevill Hill Hospital as a precautionary measure.
