n an industry better known for exorbitant wages and rip-off prices than philanthropy, one Welsh League club is bucking the trend to maximise every money-making opportunity.It will be carrying the name of a local charity on its away shirts next season rather than a commercial sponsor.Under a 12-month deal Monmouth Town, who are battling for promotion to the Welsh league second division, will be promoting St David's Foundation Hospice, the leading provider of free and comprehensive palliative care services throughout Gwent for people, their families and carers facing a progressive life-threatening illness.For the club, it represents a far more serious approach to its community responsibility than in the past.By the Kingfishers' own admission, fundraising for good causes had been a bit ad hoc until now.
