their latest fixture without
their anticipated new
kit, but there were more important things on
the players' minds. It was to be a top of the
table clash, and the first real tester for a couple
of months.
Once again the coach did not have a full
squad at his disposal. From the off, it was
obvious Caldicot Town were fired up for this
game, and they put Chepstow on the back foot
for most of the first 20 minutes.
Chepstow were struggling to get going and
work as a team, but they held off the
onslaught. Then Nicky Owen got a chance to
bang a header into the roof of the net, and
something changed: Chepstow looked like
they wanted the game.
