MADAM,

I would like to let your readers know that on Saturday 26th November Monmouth’s beautiful Methodist church on St James Street, one of the oldest in Wales, will be opening its doors for its annual Christmas fair. The church will be decorated for Advent and visitors will be able to view the floral decorations, before sampling coffee and mince pies, or partaking of a light lunch in the church hall. Home-made soups and quiches, bacon rolls and hot dogs will all be there, ready to be eaten!

There will also be charity stalls for Fairtrade and Crisis at Christmas - a national homeless charity – as well as our usual bric-a-brac stall, home-made cakes and preserves and a toy stall. This year, for the first time, we are also having a ‘nearly new clothes’ sale. We are planning to use our small fellowship room as a changing room so you will be able to try before you buy. There will also be games of all sorts for young and old. Fun for all the family from 10am to 2pm.
