A CHRISTMAS windfall of more than £400,000 has been handed out to communities across Wales in November thanks to players of the National Lottery.
This grant for £9,802 will fund service charges, rent, buildings insurance, and electricity.
Thanks to players of the National Lottery, the Big Lottery Fund has been able to give grants to communities across Wales totalling £408,983. Ticket sales provide a fund of public money.
This month 65 communities have been successful in their applications with projects aimed at improving lives and helping people feel part of their communities. Gareth Williams, National Lottery Awards for All Funding Manager said: “People who play the National Lottery may not realise what an amazing contribution they are making to the wellbeing of communities across Wales. Every month the Big Lottery Fund are giving grants of thousands of pounds for people to do amazing things. Thank you on behalf of the Big Lottery Fund and all the projects we fund.”
