WITH December just around the corner town centres across Monmouthshire are light up for Christmas.

Below are the times and dates set for the turing on of Christmas lights.

Caldicot: Caldicot will be turning on their lights in a ceremony held tonight, 25th November.

Starting from 2pm there will be a wide variety of live music, school music choirs, fun fair rides and much more.

The lights will be switched on at 5.30pm by the Caldicot Mayor, MP Jessica Morden and AM John Griffiths.

Chepstow: Chepstow will celebrate the start of the Christmas period with an event on Saturday 26th November.

The Chepstow Market will be held from 9am with festivities starting at 2pm in Beaufort Square.

There will be school choirs, local bands and groups and most importantly Father Christmas will be paying a visit, the lights will be turned on at 5.30pm.

Usk: The Usk Christmas Festival is the highlight of the celebrations for 2016. Held on the 3rd and 4th of December the festival includes a quality Christmas market, street food and a great line up of bands and other live entertainment suitable for the whole family, all held in Twyn Square.

The big event will be the annual Usk Town Council Reindeer Parade which will set off from Usk Fire Station at 5pm.

Monmouth: Monmouth will be turning on it’s Christmas light on 8th December.
