MAYOR of Chepstow Councillor Stephanie Dovey, has extended her Christmas wishes to Chepstow Beacon readers.

"I wish all in Chepstow a very, very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year," she said.

"I should like to say a special thank you to all the unsung community heroes who work tirelessly often behind the scenes to make Chepstow such a very special place."

Cllr Dovey has reinforced the council's wish for Christmas shoppers to support the high street: "My simple wish for Christmas is for residents to shop locally and to support local businesses and shops wherever you can."
