The seven-year-old Monmouth girl who has just undergone surgery in her fight against Cerebral Palsy was presented with two cheques last week.

The Border Counties Vintage Society and the Chepstow Vintage Club both held road runs with vintage vehicles to raise money for the hospital treatment she needs to make a full recovery.

A total of £600 was given by each group before their skittles match held in Monmouth.

Helen Morgan, Chase's mum, said that Chase is now walking for the first time unaided.

"She is so strong and all the physios have been impressed by her progress," said Helen.

"She is a determined girl and we are very grateful for the continued generousity of donations such as these."
