CHEPSTOW Show returns to the town’s racecourse this year tomorrow (Saturday 11th August).

As always, the main ring will feature a variety of entertainment throughout the day; from the Gwyn Lightfoot sheepdog display, the Stunt Mania motorcycle show and the fast and furious pony club games, to the more sedate parade of vintage vehicles and the grand parade of livestock.

There is also not just one, but two parades of hounds from both the Woolaston Bassets and the Curre and Llangibby packs, so there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Chepstow Show prides itself on being a friendly, local day out that showcases the very best of rural life, talents, tastes and traditions, so there are hundreds of competition classes which can be entered. There are strong livestock and produce sections and a popular horse and pony section. The show also features a horticulture and homecrafts section, a vintage section and a fun dog show.

The highlight for many remains the Stunt Mania fast-paced motorcycle attraction in the main ring.

The mother and son stunt riders perform together to give what they describe as “breathtaking motorcycle stunts which include ramp jumps, impressive trick riding and of course the crowd’s favourite fire stunts”.
