THE 2017 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal will be launched in Chepstow on Saturday 28th October and will run until Saturday 11th November.
Throughout this period poppies will be available in many of the shops, pubs and businesses throughout the town.
The Annual Poppy Appeal continues to be the Royal British Legion’s major fundraising event. Last year, Chepstow contributed a record £23,975 to the National Appeal thanks to the support of the poppy collectors many of whom are past or present service personnel, the shops and businesses who took collecting tins and poppies and, of course local residents who gave so generously.
Anyone wishing to lay a wreath at local services of Remembrance, can order their wreath from the local Poppy Appeal organiser by calling 01291 641845, or sending an email to [email protected]
Wreaths will be available for collection from Chepstow Town Council Offices, The Gatehouse, High Street, Chepstow from 10am to 12pm from Monday 6th November to Friday 10th November and on Sunday 12th November from 9.15am to 10.15am or by appointment made with the Poppy Appeal organiser.
If you have a few hours to spare and want to assist this year’s Poppy Appeal, please do contact the Poppy Appeal Organiser. All support is greatly appreciated and will really make a difference.
