A GENEROUS group have made a donation worth £600 to a Chepstow-based charity.

The Chepstow and Caldicot Lions have kindly donated £600 to Monmouthshire Upcycle in order for them to buy new powerful equipment which means both gardening vans are fully equipped for all kinds of work.

Monmouthshire Upcycle, part of the Forest Upcycling Project, started by collecting and re-selling donated furniture and now have showrooms in Cinderford, Coleford and a new premises in Chepstow and employ more people in their gardening section.

Nadine Jones, from Monmouthshire Upcycle said: “The Lions have been extremely helpful in spreading the word about Monmouthshire Upcycle and the work they do to support and employ vulnerable people.

“The Chepstow and Caldicot Lions have kindly donated £600 to the charity to buy new powerful equipment which means both gardening vans are fully equipped for all kinds of work.”

The Postcode Lottery have also recognised the good work of the charity and donated funds for the purchase of a new van for the collection and delivery of furniture in the Chepstow area.

Local business CFG kindly vinyled the van with the charity logo and contact details. The charity hope that people seeing the van out and about will help boost sales in the showroom.
