On Sunday, before a sell out crowd at the Bridges Centre watched by many local people and businesses, local fighters competed to a high standard with success to raise money for the Mind Step Foundation. Harry Couzens of Trellech, in his first bout against a more experienced opponent, managed to gain a draw.
Fin Mitchell secured a first round stoppage in his kick boxing bout, with a bruising body shot against his opponent from Cardiff who was unable to make the count.
Isaac Williams won every round with a dominant and skilful display against his older and more experienced opponent in his boxing contest. He boxed to an exceptionally high standard, nearly forcing a stoppage with his power and accuracy to a jubilant crowd. He moves to a record of 4 wins out of 3.
Monmouthshire Sporting Club and 33 Bedford Row Barristers will be presenting the monies raised in the coming weeks and announcing the date of the next event to support local sport people.
