DUE to unforeseen circumstances, the Cards for Good Causes shop manager in Chepstow has had to step down ahead of the shop opening on Wednesday 25th October.
As a result the shop is urgently seeking a volunteer shop manager for the Chepstow shop to ensure it goes ahead this year.
Cards for Good Causes is the UK’s largest retailer of charity Christmas cards, selling on behalf of over 250 charities online and in over 300 seasonal pop-up shops across the UK.
Over the past ten years charities have received over £40 million from Cards for Good Causes through sales of Christmas cards.
The organisation relies on around 6,000 volunteers to manage and run the seasonal shops.
Pauline Jenkins, Area Organiser for Cards for Good Causes, said:
“It would be a real shame not to open in Chepstow library this season as it’s such a popular shop with local residents.
“However, we desperately need someone to step in as temporary shop manager.
“I would urge anyone in or around Chepstow with a passion for retail, Christmas and doing good for great causes, to contact me as soon as possible.”
The shop is due to open in the Chepstow Library on Wednesday, 25th October with set up on Tuesday, 24th October.
A modest remuneration is offered for the part time shop manager position. Full training and support is given and an enthusiastic and experienced team of volunteers is ready to help.
