A GWENT charity is taking to the road to tell local councillors about services that it provides for older people.
Age Cymru Gwent is organising events in Abertillery, Maesycymmer, Usk, Cwmbran and Newport.
It is inviting local councillors to come along to find out about help that is available for the older people that they represent.
Eileen Powell, executive director of Corporate Services at Age Cymru Gwent, said: "Age Cymru Gwent is the largest charity providing support to over 50s in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen.
"Our organisation exists to promote older people's independence and improve their quality of life through the services we provide.
"We've organised these events across the county borough to tell our 250 local councillors about the services Age Cymru Gwent provides for older people, such as our hospital discharge service, information and advice and help for carers."
Each event will focus on specific services that the charity provides in that particular area.
Age Cymru Gwent runs a hospital discharge service; an advocacy service to provide a helping hand for people who need support to tackle problems in their lives; and a community support service.
It also provides a support service for carers; home support and nail cutting; a hospital volunteer scheme and a programme to keep older people healthy and out of hospital.
Staff from each service will be at the events, which run until February.
