A defeat of 5.5 to 2.5 at South Herefordshire and a five to one win at home against Llanwern completed Monmouth Seniors' 23-match fixture list for the 2011 season.

At the end-of-season AGM dinner, outgoing captain Chesney Britton informed his audience that of the 23 matches played, eleven were won, eleven were lost and one was halved, statistics which were more flattering than in the previous four years.

The overwhelming seven-nil September victory away at Raglan was the season's performance highlight and warranted special mention.

In fact, Chesney presented the Seniors with a framed score-sheet of that match for display in the club's trophy cabinet.

His penultimate presentations as captain were to players securing top places in the AGM stableford competition. Prize for fourth place with 37 points was awarded to David Forbes, third place prize went to Phil Morgan with 38 points while Graham Mitchell, also with 38 points but a stronger back nine, received second place prize.

Vice-captain Mike Topper was forced into service to present his captain Chesney with the first place prize for his unbeaten score of 40 points.
